Presentation abstract: Indexing you database is key to performance. Too few or the wrong types and your SQL will not benefit from them and be slow. Too many and your inserts, updates and deletes will be slow.

I will review the types of indexes available to us, their potential benefits and flaws, when to use them and when not.

He presents regularly on these topics, both across the UK and internationally. He is passionate about user groups and sharing knowledge and does more of that now than real work. Martin is an Oracle ACE Director and member of the OakTable. He likes cats, beer and genetics.
